Day 1 Concluded: Anchoring Mission, Elevating Standards

Day 1 of our institutional In-Service Training successfully wrapped up at the ACC Main Campus Cafeteria, marked by profound insights and high-level academic discussions led by two prominent faculty leaders from the University of Santo Tomas (UST) College of Education—a national Center of Excellence in Teacher Education.

Our esteemed resource speakers delivered powerful sessions that challenged and inspired our faculty:

Dean Pilar I. Romero, PhD powerfully reminded our educators of the sacred, values-driven mission held by Catholic Teacher Education Institutions (CTEIs). She emphasized our critical role in shaping pre-service teachers who are not only academically excellent but deeply grounded in faith and social responsibility.

Asst. Prof. Alvin Ringgo C. Reyes, guided our faculty through key local and international benchmarking strategies, drawing from exemplary UST practices to elevate our clinical preparation and experiential learning models.

Through this enduring partnership with UST, the ACC Faculty of Teacher Education continues to align its programs with national educational reforms, ensuring our curriculum remains future-responsive and deeply impactful.

We look forward to another day of transformation tomorrow as we delve into curriculum design and professional mentorship!

Day 2 of INSET Concluded: Redefining Curriculum and Mentorship for the Future

The final day of FTE In-Service Training concluded with high momentum at the ACC Main Campus Cafeteria, solidifying the Faculty of Teacher Education’s commitment to shaping the next generation of educators. Day 2 brought actionable strategies and deep insights from two more exceptional leaders of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) College of Education.

The morning session focused directly on modernizing our training frameworks and academic alignment. Asst. Prof. Vincent V. Caparas delivered a masterful session on strengthening professional formation, empowering our faculty to transition from traditional supervisors into high-impact instructional coaches and mentors for our pre-service teachers.

Assistant Dean Dr. Louie B. Dasas followed in the afternoon with an intensive lecture on future-driven curriculum design, guiding FTE faculty on how to map and align courses with the 2035 Teacher Education Roadmap and the EDCOM II National Education Plan.

Through this rigorous two-day collaboration with UST—a premier national Center of Excellence—the ACC Faculty of Teacher Education produced newly aligned course plans, enhanced clinical practice designs and ready for the challenges of the new teacher education curriculum.

We exit this INSET 2026 fully equipped to lead educational reforms and deliver a truly future-responsive Catholic education.
