Aklan Catholic College – Higher Education Department (ACC-HED) held its Baccalaureate Mass at St. John the Baptist Carhedral on Monday, April 13, 2026.

The mass was presided by Archbishop Victor B. Bendico, D.D., Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Kalibo, and concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Jose Gualberto I. Villasis, Ph.D., Rector-President, together with the ACC priests.

In his homily, Archbishop Bendico highlighted the value of integrity as the foundation of a meaningful life.

“Brothers and sisters, our country does not only need professionals, it needs persons of integrity. Doctors who will not exploit, business leaders who will not manipulate, public servants who will not betray trust, teachers who will not merely instruct but form. Integrity is costly, but without it,
everything else loses its meaning,” said Archbishop Bendico.

Diplomas and medals were then presented by selected graduates to Archbishop Bendico, who blessed them in return.

Imposition of Hoods by Faculty took place after the mass, where graduates were draped by their parents and guardians, symbolizing the dignity of their respective degrees.

Loyalty Awards were also given to students who spent their formative years or atleast two consecutive years in the institution.

Following this, Miss Yvette P. Rejuso, Magna Cum Laude, led the Pledge of Faith and Loyalty and Miss Ma. Rafaela M. Israel, Magna Cum Laude, for the Act of Consecration.

Baccalaureate Mass serves as a space for reflection, a blessing for the next phase of the graduates’ lives, and a gesture of gratitude to God for sustaining them throughout their academic journey and blessing them with knowledge and wisdom.
