ACC-HED Celebrates Student Excellence in Recognition Day for AY 2025-2026
Aklan Catholic College–Higher Education Department (ACC-HED) celebrated the excellence and hard work of its students in both academic and non-academic pursuits for Academic Year 2025–2026 on April 11, 2026, at the ACC Covered Court, Mabasa Campus, with the theme “Integrity, Discipline, Mission: The Mark of an ACC Graduate.”
The event highlighted the institution’s recognition of student dedication, perseverance, and achievements across various disciplines and professional training.
Ms. Marie Lucienne P. Tioco, MAN, RN, Dean, Faculty of Nursing, delivered an inspirational message emphasizing the true essence of student recognition and achievement.
“To ‘recognize’ means to see again. Today, we see beyond the grades on a transcript. We see the countless hours of disciplined study and quiet sacrifice; we see the hurdles you cleared in your various professional practicums, technical requirements, and rigorous academic pursuit; and we see the tenacious discipline you maintained even when the path felt steep.”
Ms. Jea Benedicto, Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management student, delivered a message of gratitude and encouragement.
“As we received these honors, let us remember that our intelligence is a gift meant to be shared. We have proven that we can master lessons; now, we are challenged to use that knowledge to serve others and illuminate the world around us.”
In his closing remarks, Rev. Fr. Jose Gualberto I. Villasis, Rector-President, commended the students for their achievements and encouraged them to embrace future responsibilities with resilience and purpose.
“As we honor your achievements, we encourage you to continue striving for the greater responsibilities that await you. May you continue to grow as resilient and responsible individuals, ready to contribute meaningfully to the world,” he said.
The ceremony concluded with the singing of the ACC Hymn as a tribute to the institution and its continuing commitment to academic excellence.
