Aklan Catholic College (ACC) confirmed 318 graduates during its 68th Commencement Exercises with the theme, "Leadership through Catholic Education", held on March 20, 2013 at the ACC Gym, Kalibo, Aklan. The event served as a culmination of the graduates' years of hard work and perseverance as well as a beginning of a new chapter of their lives.

The class of 2013 had Ms. Amelita Enriquez-Sarmiento, ACHS Golden Jubilarian as commencement speaker.

His Excellency Most. Rev. Jose Corazon T. Tala-oc, D.D., bishop of Kalibo and the chairman of the board of trustees served as presider and preacher during the baccalaureate mass at St. John the Baptist Cathedral. Concelebrants were Rev. Fr. Jose Gualberto I. Villasis,Ph.D., Rev. Fr. Mark Randy G. Beluso, Rev. Fr. Renier Supranes, Rev. Fr. Herminio Felipe,Jr., and Rev. Fr. Glenn Magpusao.

For school year 2012-2013, the college produced a total of 2 Magna Cum Laude graduates, 1 from the College of Information and Computer Studies program and 1 from Accountancy program, and 4 Cum Laude; 2 from Teacher Education and 2 from Accountancy department.

One proud graduate was Bobby T. Fragata, of BSIT program, who is the first in his family to finish college, and said if he can do it, anyone can. "I am not expecting to top the class 2013 I just did my best since my mother told me daya eang do anang maaywan nga manggad kakon." Fragata confessed in his address of a graduate.

He was among 318 students who have earned their associate or bachelor degrees so far during the 2012/2013 academic year.

Pamela Joie S. Revicente, cum laude and who wants to be a teacher, was excited to be at the commencement. "It's been a lot of adversity and a lot of trials and tribulations but it's finally here so it's going to be a great day."/DNN
